Mary Goos and Pleasure Doin Biznus

1)  When and where did you first see your roan, how did you end up with him as yours, and how long have you owned him?

I bought "Robbie" in January 2010 as a green three year old. I had bought his half brother Pleasure Persuasion a couple of months prior and the seller sent me an email saying she had a half sibling for sale as well.  I loved him in the video and even though I didn't need another horse, I went ahead and bought him.  I didn't see him in person until he stepped off the transport, but everything I had liked in the video, I loved even more when I saw him in
person.

2)  Where, what level, and in what classes do you show your roan?

I have accomplished more than I ever dreamed of. Robbie has points in Halter, Showmanship, Hus, Wp, Western Riding and Trail.  My dream has been to have a top Trail horse and that is one of Robbie's best events.  This year we won the BCF Non Pro 3-6 Yr Old Trail at the NSBA World and placed 6th in the NA Trail and 5th in Select Trail at Congress.  We also qualified for the Select World in Halter and HUS. My proudest moment was achieving our AQHA Amateur Championship.  Winning Select Trail at the Stars and Stripes this past summer finished the points I needed.

3)  What is your favorite thing to do with your roan horse?

Learning to ride HUS has been a big challenge for me.  I have always been more of a western rider. I want to give credit to my talented trainers Karla Friedli, Carmen Moss and Nick Mayabb. They have done a great job with Robbie, have been amazing to work with and I can’t thank them enough.”

Our best wishes for continued success to this great team in 2014!
