The American Quarter Horse Association recently joined the World Conformation Horse in forming an alliance with the American Roan Horse Association. These important alliances validate the Roan as an official color association and assure great things in store! More programs, more shows, more awards, more ways to win. We are excited about the future of the ARHA!
AQHA Press Release
Happy new year from all of us at the American Roan Horse Association!
With your help and continued support we have achieved a very important milestone… TEN YEARS of being an association! In the uncertain economy over that period of time, we have kept our focus on building our memberships and providing more shows for you to participate in and more awards to work toward with your roan horse.
Our website that was completely redone in 2015 and completely updated in 2018, has proven to be very informative as well as user friendly with our logo merchandise available but mainly to expedite memberships and registrations quickly and efficiently so you can get out there and start showing.
Our annual Fast Fifty enrollment has been important to maintaining our extraordinary paybacks and continues to be a well supported way for our members to see a good return on their fees. As our number of shows increase we have revised the payment and payout structure to keep up with the ever increasing participation.
Fast Fifty Plus:
To celebrate our 10 year anniversary we will be raising the Fast Fifty Plus payout limit to $450.00 with our new and improved program. The annual enrollment fee will be $75.00. The revised payback program has some added perks.
A new form for documenting these classes will be available for participating members who will be submitting official class results from show management to our home office after your show.
We will still be adding money to select shows, but our designated show added money payouts are not added into the Fast Fifty Plus limit. You can find a complete list of our added money shows at www.ridearoan.com.
High Point Plus:
To go along with this amazing expansion of the Fast fifty Plus program is our High Point Plus program. You were already able to accumulate points at designated shows, but now you can use our point system to compete for year end awards at any show you go to. The annual enrollment fee will be $75.00. Participating members will be responsible for submitting official class results to our home office for recording. There will be year end awards to 10 placings. Complete rules, forms and awards list can be found on our website.
High Point Youth:
The High Point Youth program is set up just like the High Point Plus program. You can go to any show and send in the official show results to our home office. Annual enrollment fee of $25.00 and complete rules, forms, and awards schedule can be seen at www.ridearoan.com.
With bringing in 2018 a major step forward for us is to become a Non Profit 501-5c entity. The process has been started. We have always put all money we have received right back into our payout programs, so nothing will change in that regard, but this does open us up for more growth and being able to do more for our membership.
Member Representative Program:
We hope to have more participation from the membership to help the association grow. To facilitate this we are asking for you to be our advocates at shows you already go to by reaching out to roan owners there, sharing what our association is about, and helping them to sign up to be a part of this quickly growing association. We will send out welcome kits to those interested that can be taken to their area shows. In turn we will be reporting news and items of interest on a regular basis from these show representatives. Send us pics, we would love to share them! firstname.lastname@example.org
Hello ARHA Members!
We are ready to kick off 2016. First let us say Thank You to all our members. 2015 was an amazing year for the ARHA. We had great participation with our first year of dual-approved shows. Thank you to show management and organizers who helped us sail through starting a new program, collecting points and offering our High Point and Reserve High Point Horse of the Year awards.
We would like to congratulate our big winners! Receiving ARHA High Point Horse of the Year is THE STORY OF GOODBAR owned and shown by Jesse Armstrong. Reserve High Point Horse of the Year went to HOTRODDIN ONA RANGER owned and shown by Riley Geiger. Great job Ladies! We were so excited to present them with their beautiful Dale Chavez buckles. Way to get out there and promote your amazing roan horses! We would also like to congratulate all of our ARHA members that won added money certificates at the dual-approved shows. Book mark our calendars page as the new 2016 shows will be added soon.
This will be our first year of annual enrollment for the Fast Fifty Incentive Fund program. We have enclosed an enrollment form if you choose to participate. Please fill it out and return before your first show. The same rules will apply for 2016. Make sure that both owner and exhibitor have current memberships. Members will still receive up to 6 payouts per calendar year and submitting your results will stay the same. We want to keep this payback going and reward our members with Fast Cash, while continuing to grow the association.
Our website www.ridearoan.com has seen some upgrades for 2016. We were excited to add a Shop Online section with On-line Member Services and ARHA Apparel. Registering and renewing memberships online should be more streamline. We added a shopping cart to view all your services at once and only make one online payment. Our Apparel page has some great ARHA logo items like hoodies, Tee shirts and hats! We will be adding new additions soon.
Lets make the new year a great one! We will continue to work hard to make the American Roan Horse Association grow and look forward to hearing from all of our members in 2016!

Hello ARHA members!
We are so excited to present some great changes in your Roan Horse Association for 2015. We are growing in numbers and new opportunities this year and we are bursting with excitement to see all the fun our members are going to have this year! First off we want to say a say a special thanks to all the wonderful people that continue to support us and work hard to make all this go. You’re great!
New for 2015, we have a whole new website up and running! Great new features include a growing calendar page, register your roan, renew your membership, print forms and stay connected ALL ONLINE. Of course you can always still print forms and mail in hard copies just as before. All forms are available to print online or can be sent to you if requested. Also, we have a new email address ARHA@ridearoan.com and phone # 260-316-2402.
We are very happy to announce that we will be offering some ARHA co-approved shows for 2015. If your local horse association would like to have ARHA classes at your show, download the show approval form off the website (www.ridearoan.com) and call 260-316-2402 for more information. Shows will be added to the calendar page, so check it often.
Big news! We will be awarding the very first ARHA High Point and Reserve High Point Horse of the year! Come to the co-approved shows and work towards some great titles and prizes while showcasing your amazing roan horse. Points will be tallied on November 31st. Complete rules and Points schedule will be available under the “showing” tab on our website. Year-end High Point prizes will be announced soon, so you know what you’re working for!
Our Fast Fifty Incentive Fund has been going strong since 2011. So far its been the best deal in the horse industry, allowing ARHA members to pay into the program a one-time entry fee of $50.00 and maximum payout of 6 times a year for $300.00. That’s a pretty great return! To keep this great payback going we will have to make some changes to support the program. 2015 will be the last year for the one-time entry fee. New in 2016 everyone participating in the program will have to pay in an annual renewal fee of $50.00. We want to keep this payback going, and rewarding our members with a chance to win some fast cash, while continuing to grow the association. Its still the best deal going!
We are so proud of our members and we want to help you showcase your great horses and celebrate with when you win. Send us your win pictures and we will post them to our in the spot light page and show everyone how great our members are!
Thank you and lets make 2015 a great year!

We were so excited to catch up on all the news about "This Is Why Im Here". He is by The Good Ranger X Della Mae Zip (Zippos Jack Bar daughter). John Briggs showed him in 2011 to a Reichert Celebration Reserve Champion in the 3 & 4 YO Open Trail AND Reserve Champion in 3 & 4 YO Stakes Trail, following that up with an NSBA World Champion title in the 3YO Open Trail. At the recent 2012 Sun Circuit Show John and "Jack" had the winning pattern in the Junior Trail the first day of the class ~ 1st out of 48!
New owners William, Lynn, and Jennifer Kyle of California are excited to continue the adventure with This Is Why Im Here. He is registered in AQHA and American Roan Horse Association as well as paid into the ARHA's Fast 50 Incentive Fund. Congratulations to all!!
